Iran Wire has learned that Mahsa Dezfulian Kermanshahi, a 40-year-old resident of Tehran's Gisha neighbourhood, was killed on 9 Jan by a shot from an Islamic Republic sniper while getting out of a ride-hailing taxi in the Fardis neighbourhood of Karaj. Sources told Iran Wire that she had not been taking part in the protests, but was targeted by government forces. Mahsa Dezfulian was a dentist and the mother of a three-year-old daughter.
